Pyramid Model Leadership Series for Early Childhood Educators
Mackenzie Weintraub is an early childhood education consultant and Oregon Registry Master Trainer based in Portland, OR. She specializes in supporting teachers, home visitors, classrooms, and programs in implementing Pyramid Model or Early Childhood Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (EC PBIS) practices.
Join a cohort of preschool directors and program leaders to learn about program-wide implementation of the Pyramid Model framework. Participants will learn about and use tools for evaluating and developing implementation action plans. Participants will also be able to learn from other programs, bring back problems of practice, and gain familiarity with free tools and resources.
Participants are highly encouraged to purchase a copy of Unpacking the Pyramid Model as a supplemental text.
- Participants will examine their program’s philosophy and how it supports the social/emotional development of children and addresses challenging behavior.
- Participants will evaluate program-wide implementation of Pyramid Model practices and develop action plans for further implementation.
- Participants will develop strategies for ongoing communications and a positive and supportive work climate.
- Participants will develop plans for training and coaching staff on Pyramid Model practices.
